manufactured under licence from Remington by Carl Gustav and dated for 1877, with blued 18in. barrel, iron nose-cap with integral fore-sight, small elevating ladder rear-sight, slab sided dated and numbered receiver with rolling breech and central hammer, pale walnut butt-stock (armourer's patched repair to left hand side), iron heel-plate, mount for saddle ring (ring absent) and full-length pale walnut fore-end, traces of finish throughout
